Meet George Gabriel

George graduated from Ursuline High School in 1980 and from Allegheny College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a Masters degree in Community Counseling. He brings a wealth of knowledge in a variety of areas in the community. In 1985 George began working for the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities where he has been employed for more then 31 years. He has held multiple positions with the MCBDD and is currently the Adult Services Director overseeing the day service programs to approximately 290 individuals with disabilities. Mr Gabriel works with individuals with disabilities and their families, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life.

He also been a member of the Poland Community Baseball Association Hall of Fame and in 2016 received the H.O.P.E. Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award. My hobbies include: exercising, watching sports, spending time with my family, and coaching.

Mr Gabriel has been married to his wife, Lorraine, for 27 years and has two children: Sean, who is 25 years old, a chemical engineer and works for Ergon in West Virginia; and Erin, who is 23 years old, enrolled at Youngstown State University (YSU) in their physical therapy doctoral program.
