Janiene Taylor
H.O.P.E. Honoree 2024

Janiene Taylor founded a nonprofit organization on July 25, 2018 called Justice4joi NICU Support.  She was inspired to start the organization due to her personal experience as a NICU mother. Justice4Joi is a consistent and valuable source of Love, Hope & Support for NICU families by providing specialized care packages, financial assistance, supportive services and providing NICU families with educational and resource materials. It is also important to Janiene to provide awareness about the suffering caused by social inequalities related to Black maternal & infant health. She aims to be intentional about working with other health professionals to help reduce the rate of prematurity and to make sure that all babies are given the best chance at a healthy life.

Janiene strives to be a source of faith, hope and support for those in her community, especially her Justice4Joi family. She remains dedicated to easing the burden for those mothers and families who find themselves worn down by the realities of NICU life. When she embarked on her journey years ago, Janiene could not have predicted how she would be led to her purpose, but she remains humbled and grateful for the opportunity to help those in need.
