(Youngstown, OH) The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is seeking Board Members & Local Leaders to serve our experienced and dedicated Board of Trustees. We are seeking leaders who are passionate about children and expanding our presence in the Mahoning Valley (first priority is Trumbull, Mahoning & Columbiana Counties). We are growing our Board of Trustees, as well as serving more children in the local communities. All who are interested are encouraged to apply.
WHO WE ARE
The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley (H.F.M.V.), a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, which was founded in 2007 after the increasing success and popularity of the Game of Hope Charity Basketball Classic. Our unpaid staff, volunteers and supporting individuals and organizations are committed to our mission. They provide charitable and financial support to improve the lives of chronically/terminally ill children & their families. With money raised from donations and our signature fundraisers, The Foundation provides financial assistance and grants up to $5,000. Expectations of Board Members
The time commitment for board members varies and is approximately 2-8 hours per month depending on activities. Board meetings are held four times a year on the 2nd Monday in January, April, July and October (unless a major conflict arises). Most board meetings are held from 5:30-7pm.
In addition to attending these meetings, we ask Board members to:
- Actively participate in discussions and decisions about the direction of the organization.
- Help grow our movement by networking with potential Hope Foundation supporters.
- Positively represent Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley in the community.
- Provide oversight of the Hope Foundation finances (fiduciary responsibility).
- Help with fundraising and volunteer efforts.

Our Board of Trustees are seeking applicants for Board service. To help us, interested potential board members are asked to submit an application.
