Children’s charities, Carmstrong Foundation to receive funds…
The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley has announced its latest round of grants to local nonprofit organizations that serve chronically/terminally ill children. Checks were presented to the following groups on Thursday, November 20th at Coaches Court in the Beeghly Center on the campus of Youngstown State University at a Press Conference:
• Making Kids Count – A $1,500 award to fill Hope Totes for children currently undergoing chemotherapy at Akron Children’s Hospital of the Mahoning Valley.
• Easter Seal Society of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties – A $1,500 award to enable children with Cerebral Palsy and other chronic diagnoses to participate in Intense SuitAbility therapy.
• Camelot Center – A $1,500 award to provide therapeutic horse riding to children with chronic/terminal illness through the Saddle Up Scholarship program.
Additionally The Foundation will be presenting a check to the Carmstrong Foundation in the amount of $1,079.05. “The money being donated to Carmstrong was raised during our very successful Carmstrong Bocce for Hope event held at the MVR recently,” says The Hope Foundation Executive Director Anthony Spano.
