Youngstown, Ohio-This past October, the Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley appointed Jennifer Ostapiak for a 3-year term thru 2024. Jennifer was appointed to help advance the foundations mission.

Jennifer has been a life-long resident of Mahoning Valley where she graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and human resources.  She has worked in various roles in human resources including career development training for adults with disabilities. She currently works for GBS Corp as the Vice President of People and Culture.

Jennifer’s passion for helping children who experience medical conditions began after her infant daughter suffered a critical illness. At that time, she became involved with local non-profit organizations serving the needs of infants and their families. Most recently, she serves as an advisor and committee member for the GBS Year of Giving Initiative which provides philanthropic initiatives for GBS families and local non-profit charities.

She is married to Pete Ostapiak, who works as a hospice nurse; together, they have 4 adult children. In her spare time, Jennifer loves being with her family, friends and traveling.
